Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce Upgrading Scholarship and Leadership Award Program
The Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce (CSDBCC) has added leadership development component to its annual Scholarship and Leadership Award program.
Beyond financial support the CSDBCC, had decided to give more. In the spirit of teaching future leaders to fish rather than just giving them fish, the scholarship and leadership award program has added content.
After providing financial awards for several students, a desire was born to give more to these young achievers help them on their way.
After careful thought and consideration, a leadership development component has been added. This will offer our awardees the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of local entrepreneurs and business professionals.
We are excited to open the selection process and encourage graduating seniors to access, complete, and return the 2017 application by September 29th, 2017 (deadline extended).
Scholarship applications will be reviewed and finalists will be invited to interview with the selection committee. Finalists will be notified of the selection committee results by the first week in October.
Recipients will be expected to attend the 7th Annual Gala, the evening of November 18th at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park as well as participate in three leadership development activities in Spring 2019.
